SpaceX Crew Dragon Returns from Space Station

The SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft undocks from the International Space Station on March 8, 2019 after nearly 5 days aboard the orbiting laboratory during the company’s Demo-1 mission for NASA’s Commercial Crew Program and descends to re-enter the Earth’s atmosphere. Just over 5 hours later, the uncrewed spacecraft splashes down in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Florida and is recovered by SpaceX teams.

Rocket Size Comparison 2018 V1

RED SIDE SHOP STORE https://goo.gl/hVMWE9 A rocket is a missile, spacecraft, aircraft or other vehicle that obtains thrust from a rocket engine. Rocket engine exhaust is formed entirely from propellant carried within the rocket before use. Rocket engines work by action and reaction and push rockets forward simply by expelling their exhaust in the opposite direction at high speed, and can therefore work in the vacuum of space. In fact, rockets work more efficiently in space than in an atmosphere. Multistage rockets are capable of attaining escape velocity from Earth and therefore can achieve unlimited maximum altitude. Compared with airbreathing engines, rockets are...

International Space Station: Off the Earth, for the Earth, and Beyond.

In 1998, assembly began in space on a satellite that would be second in size and radiance only to the Moon…NASA’s International Space Station. Completed in the 21st Century, the International Space Station’s role in the development of your future as well as that of the United States space program is enormous. Many things learned in space are already benefiting life right here on Earth. Ultimately this satellite will be the springboard enabling nations around the world to prepare to take the next giant leap past our Moon and into the Solar System. Today NASA and the International...

THEY BOUGHT this BOEING 747 on EBAY - A second hand QUEEN of the Skies (4K)

It sounds kinda weird but CAL Airlines actually bought this green Boeing 747 on ebay. The former Jade Cargo aircraft was stored at Shenzen for six years until the airport decided to seize and sell the airplane on TaoBao, which is the chinese version of ebay. They even sold three Boeing 747` s but two of them were bought by the chinese post company SF Airlines. The other former Jade Aircraft was bought by CAL Airlines and received a D Check at Tel Aviv. They didn` t repaint the aircraft yet which I appreciate because I always enjoyed the green livery...

Moment when Tim Peake & Soyuz rocket blasted off to ISS - BBC News

Relieve the moment when Soyuz rocket carrying UK astronaut Tim Peake blasted off to the International Space Station. The ex-helicopter pilot - with American Tim Kopra and Russian Yuri Malenchenko - launched on a Russian Soyuz rocket at Baikonur Cosmodrome, in Kazakhstan. Mr Peake is the first official UK astronaut. Previous "British" astronauts have either had US citizenship and worked for Nasa or been privately funded.Subscribe to BBC News HERE http://bit.ly/1rbfUog Check out our website: http://www.bbc.com/news Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/bbcworldnews Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/bbcworld Instagram: http://instagram.com/bbcnews

Elon Musk on how Falcon Heavy will change space travel

SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy rocket took off from Cape Canaveral, Florida yesterday carrying its first payload -- a red Tesla roadster -- into orbit. Loren Grush spoke to CEO Elon Musk about the launch and what this means for the future of space travel, as well as Planetary Society CEO Bill Nye. The Falcon Heavy now holds the title for the world’s most powerful rocket, and its launch marks the first time a vehicle this massive has ever been sent up by a commercial company. Dragon Hatch Opened to ISS

Aboard the International Space Station, Expedition 31 Flight Engineer Don Pettit and Joe Acaba of NASA and European Space Agency Flight Engineer Andre Kuipers opened the hatch to SpaceX's Dragon cargo craft and entered the vehicle May 26, one day after the world's first commercial cargo spacecraft was berthed to the Earth-facing port of the Harmony module. Dragon will remain berthed to Harmony until May 31, enabling the crew to unload supplies for the station's residents before it is re-grappled and released to return to Earth for a parachute-assisted splashdown in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of southern California.

Orion Soars on First Flight Test

SpaceX's plan to colonize Mars, explained

Elon Musk gave the biggest talk of his life in Guadalajara, Mexico, where he detailed his plans to set up a self-sustaining colony of 1 million people on Mars. He knows the rockets and spaceships he wants to build, but many questions still need to be answered if he wants to pull off such an ambitious feat. The Verge's Loren Grush breaks down some of the challenges with input from Bill Nye (CEO of The Planetary Society) and Will Pomerantz (VP Special Projects, Virgin Galactic). Could SpaceX's BFR replace traditional airliners?

With SpaceX announcing the BFR's first official mission to the moon, the possibility of Earth to Earth travel seems a little bit closer. In this video, we look at what needs to be done before Earth to Earth rocket travel can replace the traditional airliners that we use today. We also compare the dawn of passenger rocket travel to the early days of airplanes. Thanks for watching this Primal Space video.
