Video technology and science converge on an active volcano in Vanuatu, where explorer Sam Cossman operated camera-mounted drones to capture high-definition images of the spectacular yet dangerous Marum Crater. Cossman and his team piloted the drones over the 7.5-mile-wide (12-kilometer) caldera while confronting toxic gases and boiling lava. Lava flow from Hawaii volcano consumes nearby homes - Daily Mail

Lava pouring from Hawaii's Kilauea volcano was seen consuming homes on Saturday as streams began to travel at speeds of up to 1,000 feet in less than an hour. One picture, taken on Saturday, shows lava rushing towards a home in Pahoa (circled) after consuming another moments before and leaving what remained of it up in flames. Fresh lava moves faster and spreads further than old lava. Previously the magma spurting from Kilauea was from a similar event in 1955. Hawaii resident goes home to find spewing lava in his backyard

Keith Brock, a resident of Hawaii's Leilani Estates, which has been engulfed by lava, returned home to collect his belongings only to find spewing, red hot lava outside his backyard.
