Video description
Following its first test launch, Falcon Heavy is now the most powerful operational rocket in the world by a factor of two. With the ability to lift into orbit nearly 64 metric tons (141,000 lb)---a mass greater than a 737 jetliner loaded with passengers, crew, luggage and fuel--Falcon Heavy can lift more than twice the payload of the next closest operational vehicle, the Delta IV Heavy, at one-third the cost. Falcon Heavy draws upon the proven heritage and reliability of Falcon 9.

Its first stage is composed of three Falcon 9 nine-engine cores whose 27 Merlin engines together generate more than 5 million pounds of thrust at liftoff, equal to approximately eighteen 747 aircraft. Only the Saturn V moon rocket, last flown in 1973, delivered more payload to orbit. Falcon Heavy was designed from the outset to carry humans into space and restores the possibility of flying missions with crew to the Moon or Mars.
SpaceX's plan to fly you across the globe in 30 minutes | Gwynne Shotwell

What's up at SpaceX? Engineer Gwynne Shotwell was employee number seven at Elon Musk's pioneering aerospace company and is now its president. In conversation with TED curator Chris Anderson, she discusses SpaceX's race to put people into orbit and the organization's next big project, the BFR (ask her what it stands for). The new giant rocket is designed to take humanity to Mars -- but it has another potential use: space travel for earthlings. Aerospike Engines - Why Aren't We Using them Now?

https://brilliant.org/CuriousDroid Over 50 years ago an engine was designed that overcame the inherent design inefficiencies of bell-shaped rocket nozzles, but despite much research in the 60's, 70's and 90's and was to power the replacement for the Space Shuttle. But 50 years on and it still yet to be flight tested. So why aren't we using Aerospike rocket engines? Will the Falcon 9 actually be reusable or just refurbish-able like the Space Shuttle?

The Falcon 9. The world’s FIRST reusable rocket. Wait. No it’s not. Do you remember the Space Shuttle? It had those solid rocket boosters and the orbiter, which were both reusable weren’t they? Well, today we’re going to talk about why the Space Shuttle failed to actually be reusable and wound up being described with a more accurate word, refurbish-able. People often cite the shortcomings of the Space Shuttle and are quick to point it to SpaceX’s claims of the Falcon 9 booster being reusable. So today we’re going to look at what it took to get the space shuttle operational...

Could We Launch Spacecraft with a Giant Space Gun?

Instead of using rockets, could we use a giant space gun to launch satellites or even spacecraft into orbit?. Sounds crazy but the idea has been researched and tested on several occasions and although it might not be suitable for humans it could be a solution to getting raw materials like fuel, water and food into orbit so in this video we look at how it might be done and some of the problems you would encounter along the way. SpaceX Killer - The Great Rocket Race | MUST WATCH | Part 1

Just a few months ago, Spacex's Falcon Heavy created History by not only sending a car to Outer Space but also landing the Boosters with Pin point accuracy. It may seem that the Future of Space Race will be dominated by SpaceX, or is it? In this video we look into the Competitors of SpaceX, some of whom have great plans to take on SpaceX , by launching reusable rockets like Jeff Bezos's Blue origin or by simple efficient and low cost manufacturing process as implemented by India, whose low cost seems to have baffled even the experts. We look at different...

Compilation of crazy crowd reactions to twin Falcon Heavy booster landing.

This is the closest thing you'll see today to people witnessing an alien spaceship landing. "Following liftoff, the two side boosters separate from the center core and return to landing sites for future reuse. The center core, traveling further and faster than the side boosters, also returns for reuse, but lands on a drone ship located in the Atlantic Ocean."
